We’re currently representing a leading civil contractor in Central Queensland. Our client specializes in defense, mining, civil, and residential projects. With a large number of current projects and more in the pipeline the client is looking to expand their team. After securing a several projects locally in Mackay along with multiple scopes of work with a Coal Mining client, they are looking to hire x2 Project Engineers.

In securing this position, you will get the opportunity to work with a proven project delivery team and Project Manager as you help and watch this project come to life and fruition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including logs, records, and reports.
• Monitor project expenditures and manage budgets.
• Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that work meets specified standards.
• Monitor project progress and implement changes as necessary to stay on track.

Key Requirements:

• 2-4 years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Proven experience as a Site or Project Engineer or in a similar supervisory role in the civil construction industry.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Chartered status with Engineers Australia (CPEng) or the ability to obtain it.
• Coal mining experience is desireable for mining role.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with specific project types such as subdivisions, mining, roadworks, or infrastructure projects
