The Opportunity
We are working with a renowned, family-owned civil contractor with a strong reputation for high retention and clear career progression. Operating across QLD and NSW, they deliver projects in renewables, oil & gas, DTMR, and mining. Due to securing three new packages in the region, they’re now looking to add two Site or Project Engineers to their team. These roles will focus on delivering earthworks, pavements, bulk earthworks, and DTMR projects, offering an exciting opportunity for growth on major infrastructure works.
You will be accountable for:
- Contributing to a culture of ‘Safety & Health above all else.
- Liaising with construction teams across the project as well as subcontractors to deliver works in accordance with project specifications and in accordance with set production and schedule targets.
- Development and management of daily cost reporting.
- Managing the procurement of materials which meet project specifications and program timeframes.
- Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the work of subcontractors;
- Monitoring key project requirements and implementing prompt corrective action if required, to ensure they are achieved in line with agreed specifications.
- Ensuring that relevant stakeholders requirements are met by building and maintaining productive internal and external relationships.
- Maintaining all relevant project document control and records.
- Working closely with your team in a productive manner and being the driving force to get the job done.
The Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Previous experience in the Australian civil construction industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast paced project environment and deliver on deadlines.
- Hold proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders.
- Focus and commitment to a zero harm environment.
