Job Overview:

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of quality assurance and quality control processes on civil construction projects. This includes developing and enforcing quality standards, conducting audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement. The Quality Manager will work closely with project teams to maintain high-quality standards and ensure that projects meet client specifications and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance (QA) Management: Develop and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure all projects comply with company, client, and regulatory quality standards.
  • Quality Control (QC) Oversight: Monitor and assess the quality of materials, work processes, and finished construction outputs. Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Project Support: Provide guidance and support to project teams on quality-related issues, helping resolve any quality concerns or non-conformities.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Requirements: Ensure all activities are compliant with industry standards, local regulations, and client requirements. Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Audits & Inspections: Lead internal and external quality audits and inspections. Track and address any findings, ensuring corrective actions are taken where necessary.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and systems. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and improve the quality of project deliverables.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on quality performance, audit findings, and corrective actions. Present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Training & Development: Provide training to project teams and subcontractors on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent implementation of quality measures.
  • Supplier & Subcontractor Quality Management: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the quality of materials and workmanship meets the required standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in quality management within the civil construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality control techniques, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • 8-10 years TMR project experience
  • Experience with quality audits, inspections, and non-conformance management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
