Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Book keeper to join their team. Reporting to the CEO, you will play a vital role in ensuring the organisation’s financial processes and scheduling to run smoothly and effectively.

This position offers an opportunity to engage in diverse accounting responsibilities, improve processes, and support the organisation’s mission to provide exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Track cash flow and ensure timely payment of bills and collection of receivables.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Generate financial statements and management reports as required.
  • Prepare end-of-month and end-of-year close processes.
  • Monitor and report discrepancies or irregularities in financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
  • Scheduling of staff in a residential aged care facility and managing the roster

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Relevant certificate/qualifications for bookkeeping in Australia
  • Prior Australian experience with payroll.
  • Experience in Aged Care or Not For Profit will be highly regarded
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and previous experience in accounts, reconciliations, and payroll support is essential. Experience in residential aged care is desirable but not required.
