Senior Payroll Officer

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our clients growing team.

The opportunity:

As the Senior Payroll officer, you will work with the team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, while maintaining compliance with legislation and company policies

About the role:

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• End-to-end payroll processing.
• End of month payroll tasks – payroll tax, superannuation, child support, leave liability journals.
• Assist the payroll administrator with the preparation of payroll data, leave entry and timesheet analysis.
• Oversee payroll system maintenance and enhancements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and tax laws, ensuring compliance and timely adjustments.
• Addressing payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare payroll reports and analysis for management review and decision-making.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll data and records.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience (5 years) in payroll processing.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Professional and ethical approach, maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
