Roster: Monday – Friday (no weekends!!)
Salary: up to $137,000 + super + salary sacrificing options + relocation + 4 weeks initial accommodation

Role Details:

In this role you will provide clinical leadership and management expertise, to be an active mentor, role model, and to facilitate the development of clinical and management skills in all staff within their unit.

You will work alongside the team to ensure that their clinical leadership and administrative capability and presence within the unit, reporting directly to the Director of Nursing.

The interventional Suite consists of eight main operating theatres, three procedure rooms, sterilising department, stages one, two and three recovery. The Surgical Services directorate consists of the following departments:

• Day of Surgery Admissions
• Main theatre suite
• Anaesthetics and Recovery
• Patient Services
• Specialist Clinics
• Central Sterilising Services Department

The Hospital:

Our client provides services in emergency, maternity, women’s health, medical imaging, pathology, rehabilitation, community services, residential aged care, psychiatric care, community dental, hospice/palliative care, cardiology, cancer services and renal dialysis to the people of the Loddon Mallee region.

The main campus based in Bendigo, with services extending throughout the Loddon Mallee with sites in areas such as Mildura, Echuca, Swan Hill, Kyneton and Castlemaine. Demand on services is increasing rapidly with Bendigo being one of Victoria’s fastest growing regional cities.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor of Nursing & registered with AHPRA
• Experience in a management role
• Extensive clinical skills and experience within Theatre
• Ability to plan, develop, implement Departmental Strategies
• Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources.
• Immunisation history – relevant for Category A Healthcare worker
• National Police Clearance

Desirable:

• Demonstrated awareness of current issues and trends in relation to clinical practice, education and research.
• Ability to introduce new concepts through innovation, influencing, negotiating and persuasion skills.
• Post Graduate qualifications in Nursing or Health Administration/Management.
