• Part of the Senior Leadership team $220k – $260k base ++

Our client is an established and highly diversified construction and industrial contractor based here in Western Australia. Projects are typically focused to resource sector clients but they do have a contingent of clients operating in the greater metro area. Being a privately owned contractor, they have a reputation for excellence in quality, safety, performance and also being an employer of choice where employees are firstly regarded as people and not numbers.

About the Opportunity

As the business grows there is a need for a hands-on Commercial Manager to assist in all aspects from pre-contracts through to project close out. This includes reviewing commercial terms within tenders and understanding if certain projects fit within the company profile. They tend to have a number of smaller contracts accross a variety of clients rather than one or two large projects. Projects typically range upto the $30m mark

The Requirements

• Ideally but not essential tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying/Commercial/Engineering or similar
• Experience working within a “hands on” environment within a Commercial Management capacity for a Civil, SMP OR Construction Contractor
• Strong eye for detail, first class literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Experience assisting projects directly in terms of assisting in variation management when the project teams are not capable to do so
• Ability to liaise and deal with clients
• Effective management and leadership skills
• Strong financial and budgeting skills
• Stable work history is HIGHLY REGARDED

The Rewards

A base salary in the region of $220k – $260k + super etc. You will be working with an existing, highly successful project team with established systems and procedures, in an enjoyable working environment.
