Are you an experienced Payroll Officer looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join our clients growing team. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

About the Role:

As a Senior Payroll Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

✅ End-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce
✅ Managing end-of-month payroll tasks – including payroll tax, superannuation, child support, and leave

liability journals

✅ Assisting with payroll system maintenance and enhancements to improve efficiency
✅ Ensuring compliance with awards, enterprise agreements, and payroll legislation
✅ Preparing payroll reports and analysis for management review
✅ Addressing payroll-related queries and providing solutions promptly
✅ Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of payroll records

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
✔ 5+ years’ experience in payroll processing, ideally within construction or a similar industry
✔ Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax laws, and compliance requirements
✔ Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements
✔ Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., Chris21, Micropay, SAP, ADP, Xero, or similar)
✔ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
✔ The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team
✔ A professional and ethical approach, with a high level of confidentiality
