The Opportunity:
Our client is a global-scale, ASX-listed gold producer with operations in WA and North America. With a strong safety culture, career development pathways and long-term project stability, they are an employer of choice in the resources sector.
We’re seeking a HSSET MANAGER to join the Senior Leadership Team at a major Kalgoorlie-based gold operation. This is a residential position on a 5:2, 4:3 roster, with FIFO options considered for the right candidate.
The Position:
Reporting to the GM, you’ll lead HSSET across open pit, underground, and processing operations, supporting site expansion and major project delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive safety leadership and compliance with WHS Act & Regs
- Oversee SMS, risk management, and contractor frameworks
- Lead investigations, audits and emergency response
- Manage site training and readiness for new plant commissioning
- Support strategic planning and cost management
The Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in WHS, Risk or related discipline
- Strong HSSET leadership in mining (UG, open pit & processing)
- High-level risk, safety system, and audit experience
- ICAM, Lead Auditor and Site Senior Executive skills (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of WA mining legislation
