Our client is the NSW public healthcare sector, known for delivering high-quality rural and remote services. With a strong focus on inclusivity, collaboration, and community outcomes, they are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead a Mental Health Inpatient Unit and support its ongoing expansion.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mental health nursing professional to step into a brand new leadership role within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and coordinating nursing and multidisciplinary care in the Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit and Recovery Centre
* Overseeing patient flow processes, including step-up/step-down facilitation
* Managing clinical governance, safety, and regulatory compliance
* Providing mentorship and supervision to a diverse team
* Working collaboratively with support teams to deliver quality care at the right time

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

Extensive clinical experience in mental health nursing, including acute care

Ability to think on your feet and adapt to changes at hand

Current AHPRA registration
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural competency skills
Tertiary qualifications in health management or equivalent experience
A commitment to the recovery framework and person-centred care
