Senior Payroll Officer
- Senior Payroll Officer Opportunity – CBD BASED
- “Hands on” delivery while reporting through to CFO
- Attractive package on offer circa $125k – $150k Base + Super
Our client is an industry leader within the mid-tier mining sector here in Western Australia, operating with a very tightknit and efficient team within the head office. They have enjoyed steady growth in recent years with a combined blue and white collar workforce of circa 400+ that is set to grow to 800+ within the next 2 – 3 years.
With this projected growth and seeking to improve and review new payroll options to help and assist with the impending growth we are searching the Perth market for a Senior Payroll Officer who will be hands on week by week and driving payroll with support from accounts where needed.
You will work closely with HR and be reviewing current the system and current process and have a mindset for continual streamlining and improvements to ensure smooth weekly payroll for all staff.
If you have extensive experience of running and improving payroll process along with a lot of the additional tasks of allocations, understanding EBA’s, site rates, allowances, Superannuation and payroll tax then we want to hear from you.
This opportunity will excite someone who enjoys a challenging environment, and continual opportunities to provide improvements to existing systems. Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the same level, however if you have less than this we would ideally still like to hear from you.
Key requirements:
- Experience within the Mining, Oil & gas, Construction or Industrial services related multi-site exposure
- Ensure payroll compliance with applicable awards, enterprise agreements, and all other statutory obligations
- Process weekly payrolls accurately and on time
- Conduct regular audits of data
- Ensure payroll queries are addressed and closed out in a timely manner
- Prepare and report on balance and reconcile payroll tax, PAYG, super and other deductions
- Seek to continuously improve the efficiency of the payroll function across company processes, systems and practice.
- Lodging STP, overseeing year-end processes, and assisting with audits
- Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies
- Attention to detail, strong communicator and desire
