Location: Regioanl NSW (9 hours from Melbourne)

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time – Rotating Shifts
Salary: As per NSW Public Health System Nurses & Midwives (State) Award

About the Company

They are now seeking passionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join the Mental Health Prevention and Recovery Centre team – a purpose-built unit supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mental Health RN to step into a dynamic and fulfilling role where your expertise and empathy will be vital in providing 24-hour, recovery-focused care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care tailored to the needs of mental health inpatients
  • Working collaboratively with patients, carers, Aboriginal health workers, and a multidisciplinary team
  • Developing and maintaining individualised care plans, assessments, and clinical documentation
  • Responding appropriately to patient risk and emergency situations
  • Supporting quality improvement, safety, and professional development initiatives
  • Supervising and mentoring Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, and students

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience working with mental health consumers, including those with comorbidities
  • A strong grasp of the Mental Health Act 2007 and recovery-based, trauma-informed care
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • A commitment to partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and communities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • A passion for professional development and contributing to a positive team culture
