Occupational Therapist – Metro and Regional Locations

- We have roles in both Perth Metro and Regional Locations
- Permanent Full time and Part time
- Salary starting at $85k – $116k plus Super
- Not for Profit Organisations with salary packaging available
The Role:
- Conduct comprehensive functional, environmental, and equipment assessments for residents and clients.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy and rehabilitation plans.
- Recommend and prescribe assistive equipment, mobility aids, and home modifications.
- Support residents in maintaining independence, safety, and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, physiotherapists, care staff, and families to deliver holistic care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies.
- Contribute to manual handling, falls prevention, and wellbeing programs
- Complete therapy assessments and respond to clinical referrals
- Plan and implement individual or group therapeutic activities, whilst working with an interdisciplinary team to maintain an effective referral system and coordinate therapy implementation
- Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and information systems
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary program of continuous improvement
- Synthesise information, through observation and written documentation, to provide recommendations that are relationship centred and informed by evidence based best practice
- Undertake a range of assessments that help to understand the holistic experience of the person
The successful candidate will have:
- Current full, unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist
- Relevant experience in an aged care environment
- Be relatable and able to share knowledge in a way that supports change at all levels
- High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Able to manage a complex workload and adapt to fast changing priorities and environments
- Is customer focussed and works effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Demonstrates effective communication, strong verbal and written skills, and interpersonal skills
