Access Clinician – Youth Mental Health Services
Location: Albany, Western Australia
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Poisition
Salary: $85,000 to $92,000 per annum depending on experience + salary sacrafice + super + relocation

Our client is a respected leader in youth mental health services, known for delivering high-quality, early intervention support for young people aged 12-25 across Western
Australia. Since 1994, they have been a trusted, for-purpose organisation championing the mental health needs of young people, helping them thrive in their communities.
They are currently seeking an Access Clinician to play a vital role in supporting young people and their families through early mental health intervention and care
coordination.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Access Clinician to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. You’ll be responsible for delivering youth-friendly mental health services, conducting assessments, coordinating care, and providing brief interventions. Your work will directly support young people and their families, as well as engage with external agencies and community partners to ensure consistent, integrated support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Intake and assessment of young people, using standardised tools
- Development of collaborative care plans
- Delivery of brief, evidence-based interventions
- Liaison with internal and external service providers
- Accurate and timely recordkeeping and data entry
- Active participation in team meetings, supervision, and service promotion

What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in delivering mental health services or programs to young people, families, and carers
- Proven ability to engage with at-risk groups (e.g., LGBTIQA+, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CaLD, young men, and those at risk of homelessness)
- Strong assessment and case management skills, including risk assessment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexibly and outside of standard business hours when needed
- Understanding of youth mental health policy and legislation
- Digital literacy and experience with case management systems (or willingness to learn)
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or a related discipline
- Registration or membership with a relevant professional body
- Current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, and ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
- Additional training such as Senior First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Gatekeeper, or ASIST is highly regarded
