The service provides wrap-around support, early intervention, and evidence-based care across South-East Queensland. With a focus on outreach and engagement, the program ensures young people and their families receive timely, coordinated, and recovery-oriented support.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled mental health clinician to step into a senior role providing triage, assessment, crisis support, and clinical leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, clinical formulations, and treatment recommendations
* Take a lead role in a multidisciplinary team providing evidence-based interventions to young people and their families
* Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and day-to-day coordination, modelling organisational values
* Respond to crisis phone calls and urgent clinical situations
* Support functional recovery groups and provide case management when required
* Build and maintain strong networks with community organisations and key stakeholders
* Advocate for young people and ensure collaborative communication across services
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a dynamic, experienced clinician with a passion for youth mental health, and quality clinical care.
You will ideally have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Counselling or a related discipline
* Extensive experience completing mental health assessments, risk assessments, clinical formulations and psychosocial interventions for young people
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and support junior staff
* Strong capability working within a multidisciplinary team environment
* Ability to build effective therapeutic relationships with young people and families
Essential requirements:
* Eligibility for registration or membership with a relevant professional body
* Demonstrated experience supporting youth mental health
* Capacity to maintain professional relationships with clients, carers, staff and stakeholders
