A progressive and rapidly growing Western Australian mining contractor has recently secured a major Tier-1 mining contract and is entering its next phase of expansion. With a strong delivery track record and a fast-moving, entrepreneurial culture, the business is now seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and scale its mining operations.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the executive leadership team, as the General Manager of Mining you will take full ownership of the mining division, leading multi-site operations across Western Australia. The role carries end-to-end accountability for safety, operational delivery, commercial performance and client outcomes.

With a significant new Tier-1 contract awarded and a strong pipeline of opportunities, this role offers the chance to:

• Lead a growing mining portfolio with momentum and scale

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mining operations across multiple sites, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient delivery
• Full ownership of divisional P&L, budgets, forecasting and margin performance
• Drive strong safety leadership, risk management and compliance across operations
• Act as the senior relationship owner for key clients
• Provide operational leadership into tenders, pricing and mobilisation of new contracts
• Build, mentor and retain high-performing site and project leadership teams
• Oversee utilisation and performance of large mobile and fixed plant fleets
• Drive consistency of systems, processes and standards as the business scales

About You

• Proven senior leadership experience as a General Manager or Operations Manager within mining contracting or owner-operator environments
• Strong background in mining and associated services (load & haul, drill & blast, earthworks, crushing and screening advantageous)
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-site operations and large mobile equipment fleets
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, contracts and margins
• A practical, hands-on leader comfortable working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
