CAMHS Clinician – Mental Health Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker
Location: Regional Western Australia
Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Salary: Casual Hourly rates $70 – $86 per hour – Fixed Term up to $130,00 0 pro-rata

Our client is a leading public healthcare provider delivering essential hospital, community and mental health services across regional and remote Western Australia. They support culturally diverse communities and are committed to improving access to high-quality, person-centred mental health care for young people and their families.
They are currently seeking a Mental Health Professional – Youth Mental Health to join their multidisciplinary mental health team and contribute to improved outcomes for young people across the regions.
The Role
This is a rewarding opportunity for an Allied Health Professional or Registered Nurse passionate about youth mental health to step into a varied and meaningful role. You will provide counselling, case management, community education and early intervention services to young people aged 14-25, their families and carers, with a strong focus on prevention and early support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering individual and group counselling and case management for young people experiencing psychological, emotional and behavioural challenges
- Engaging marginalised and at-risk youth and promoting access to health, education, employment and community services
- Developing and delivering youth-focused mental health programs, education and prevention initiatives
- Building strong referral pathways with primary health, youth services and specialist mental health providers
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary mental health team and participating in clinical meetings and intake processes
- Liaising with government and non-government agencies to coordinate holistic support
- Maintaining clinical documentation, outcome measures (NOCC) and contributing to quality improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing or Social Work
- Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for full membership with the AASW
- Demonstrated experience working with young people, particularly those considered at risk
- Strong counselling and group facilitation skills
- High-level written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience working collaboratively across health, community and government services
- Knowledge of youth mental health, alcohol and other drug issues
Desirable:
- Experience working cross-culturally
- Previous exposure to rural or remote healthcare settings
- Knowledge of the WA Mental Health Act 2014
