  • Must have a Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy, AHPRA registration, drivers’ licence and registered vehicle, NDIS experience
  • Must be able to travel to the Bibra Lake office – Hybrid 2/3 days a week in office & WFH – flexible working hours and option of toil time
  • Work for a provider with an excellent reputation who is experiencing exponential growth and development
  • Competitive salary $90k-$110k + Super depending on experience within the Occupational Therapy and NDIS community field
  • Sensible KPI’s (5 billables a day) and interesting caseload with a focus on children based on NDIS demand

This is a dynamic and fun environment where you will be part of a small team, which will grow in time, allowing you the time and space to develop – you can expect regular supervision if required and fortnightly catch ups where you will have the opportunity to discuss your complex clients, brainstorm, ask for advice and receive help & feedback, where required as part of your development.

The Position:
We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist with a minimum one years’ experience who has worked in NDIS Community sector.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Daily Living Skills: We help participants improve their ability to perform essential tasks such as dressing, cooking, and personal care, supporting greater independence at home and in the community.
  • Mobility and Physical Support: Our therapists provide assessments and recommend mobility aids and equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and home modifications, ensuring safety and ease of movement.
  • Cognitive Support: We offer cognitive rehabilitation to help participants enhance memory, attention, and problem-solving skills, supporting daily functioning and independence.
  • Sensory Processing Support: For individuals with sensory processing difficulties, we provide sensory integration therapy to help them manage sensory challenges and regulate responses to their environment.
  • Social and Communication Skills: We work with participants to develop social skills, improve communication, and foster relationships, enhancing their ability to engage with others.
  • Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing: Our services include strategies for managing anxiety, stress, and other mental health concerns, promoting emotional resilience and wellbeing.
  • Writing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs)
  • Working with neurodivergent children, adolescents and adult (Autistic, ADHD, developmental delays) in a way that’s affirming and empowering
  • Providing detailed Supportive Independent Living (SIL & SDA) assessments in their home environment to help NDIS participants access the appropriate support for a safe and independent life

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with a Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy
  • Has experience within the NDIS sector
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Drivers licence and registered/insured vehicle
  • Passion for paediatrics and neurodiversity-affirming practice
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Minimum 12 months experience in Occupational Therapy (12 months post graduation)
