Mine Technician

We are currently seeking experienced Mine Technicians for multiple contract opportunities across our client base within the Western Australian mining sector. These roles are based at open pit mining operations and offer both day and night shift rotations. If you’re a hands-on professional with strong grade control and ore management experience, we want to hear from you.

We have a variety of roles for experienced Technicians in the open pit and underground space.

FIFO from Perth with Roster options for 8:6, 7:7, and 2:2

Key Responsibilities

  • Ore spotting
  • Ore block mark-up and delineation
  • Blast hole preparation including Blast Volume Index (BVI) assessments
  • ROM pad sampling, resampling, and quality control procedures
  • Dispatch and data entry of grab samples at on-site laboratories
  • Grade control sample pickups and dispatch to Kalgoorlie laboratories
  • Dump truck and road train management on the ROM pad
  • Ore spotting and identification from excavator operations
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to grade control reporting

About You

  • Previous experience as a Mine Technician or in a similar grade control role within open pit mining
  • Strong understanding of ore spotting, sampling procedures, and grade control processes
  • Experience with blast hole preparation and BVI assessments
  • Competent in data entry and sample dispatch workflows
  • Ability to work both day and night shifts on a rotating roster
  • Current WA C-Class Driver’s Licence (HR/MC advantageous)
  • Valid First Aid and Mine Site Induction (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced mining environment
