Senior Mental Health Clinician (Team Lead) – Paediatric Mental Health & Disability Services
Location: Regional, Western Australia
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $112,500 to $117,500 depending on experience + super + relocation

They are seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician (Team Lead) to join their team and contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of high-quality, person-centred mental health services for children and adolescents.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to step into a leadership role offering both clinical impact and strategic influence. You will lead the mental health function, manage a paediatric caseload, and provide clinical oversight within a multidisciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialised mental health assessment, intervention, case management and evaluation services for children and adolescents
- Coordinating the mental health caseload, including intake, triage, referral allocation and discharge planning
- Providing clinical supervision, mentoring and performance management to the mental health team
- Contributing to strategic planning, policy development, service evaluation and risk management
You’ll work closely with the Clinical Services Manager and multidisciplinary team, acting as a consultant and leader within the broader organisation.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Psychology with current registration with the relevant professional body (AHPRA registration where applicable)
- Eligibility for, or current accreditation as, a Mental Health Provider
- Demonstrated advanced experience in mental health assessment, therapy provision and case management for children and families
- Proven experience leading and managing a team or service
- Strong knowledge of the NDIS framework and ability to maintain compliant clinical documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with health professionals and external agencies
Desirable:
- Experience working in cross-cultural settings, particularly in relation to Aboriginal health and cultural contexts
- Current Medicare provider number
- Willingness to travel across the region, including occasional overnight stays
