Site Engineer

  • TIER 1 COMPANY
  • 6 MONTH CONTRACT
  • COMPETITIVE CONTRACT RATE + UPLIFT

We are seeking a hands-on Site Engineer to support a construction phase on a major infrastructure project in Alkimos. This is a true site-based role and the successful candidate will be working with a globally recognised tier 1 company.

While this is initially a contract role, there is strong potential for a permanent position for the right candidate who consistently demonstrates capability, teamwork, and site leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Site Engineer with hands-on construction exposure
  • Experience in tunnelling, underground mining, or civil construction
  • Demonstrated experience in concrete and/or excavation
  • Currently based in Western Australia with valid working rights

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Attending shift prestart with the supervisor to understand planned tasks
  • Running prestart meetings and weekly safety toolboxes with crews
  • Conducting handovers between shifts
  • Monitoring key excavation parameters (pressure, thrust, advance speed, slurry flow/density, etc.) and recording them accurately
  • Completing ring installation quality checks and ITP documentation
  • Completing defect forms and assisting with physical verification tests (proof drilling, hammer tests)
  • High level QA/QC tests
