About the Company
Our client is a respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service delivering culturally safe and high-quality health services across North Queensland. With a strong focus on community wellbeing, they provide a broad range of primary health and mental health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
They are seeking an experienced Centre Manager & Clinical Lead to oversee the delivery of youth mental health services and lead a multidisciplinary team supporting young people aged 12-25.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician and leader to step into a senior role overseeing the strategic, operational and clinical delivery of a busy youth mental health service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic and clinical leadership aligned with the headspace model of care
* Overseeing day-to-day centre operations including workforce coordination, rosters and service delivery
* Leading clinical governance, supervision, triage processes and risk management
* Building strong relationships with community partners, local services, schools and private practitioners
* Supporting a positive team culture through mentoring, supervision and professional development
* Ensuring accurate reporting, data management, compliance and Medicare billing processes
You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and community partners to ensure young people receive accessible, culturally safe and evidence-based support.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* Registration with AHPRA (Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist) or AASW (Social Worker)
* Eligibility to obtain a Medicare Provider Number
* Strong clinical skills in youth mental health, including risk assessment and crisis management
* Experience leading or supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams
* Operational management experience including reporting, budgets or service delivery oversight
* Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
