About the Company
Our client is a well-established not-for-profit organisation delivering integrated health, mental health and community services across Australia. They work collaboratively with multiple partner organisations to strengthen mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) systems in regional communities.
They are seeking an experienced Clinical Services Manager to provide consortium-wide clinical leadership and support high-quality, trauma-informed, evidence-based practice across partner organisations.
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a senior clinician to influence practice at a systems level while working across eight partnering organisations within the consortium.
As Clinical Services Manager, you will provide clinical leadership and governance across the network, supporting consistent, person-centred and trauma-informed service delivery. While the role does not hold direct operational management of programs, it plays a key role in strengthening clinical quality, guiding ethical practice, and driving continuous improvement across services.
You will support and develop Clinical Supervisors, promote reflective practice, coordinate shared workforce development and training initiatives, and provide expert advice on clinical risk and governance. The role also involves collaborating closely with partner organisations to strengthen integration and consistency of services, representing the consortium in sector forums, and contributing to service design and innovation.
The position is based from Rockhampton, Hervey Bay, Emerald or Gympie / Sunshine Coast and operates in a hybrid work model, with some regional travel required.
What’s On Offer
In return, you will receive a competitive salary package, generous not-for-profit salary packaging benefits, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative consortium environment shaping mental health and AOD services across regional Queensland.
You will be supported within an inclusive, values-driven organisation that prioritises diversity, cultural safety, and professional growth. Additional benefits include relocation support where applicable, access to employee assistance programs, and a range of employee discounts and wellbeing initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
-
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or a related discipline
-
Postgraduate mental health qualification or equivalent specialist mental health training and experience
-
A recognised mental health credential (e.g. AMHSW, Credentialed Mental Health Nurse, or equivalent)
-
Strong experience in clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management within mental health services
-
Experience providing clinical supervision and supporting clinical leaders
-
Strong knowledge of MHAODSP frameworks and sector standards
-
Excellent stakeholder engagement, leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence practice without direct operational authority
-
Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, management, or clinical governance and experience working across consortium or multi-agency environments will be highly regarded.
