Regional HSEQT Superintendent
The HSEQT Regional Superintendent provides the HSEQT Manager and site-based operational team with health, safety, environment, quality and training technical support to help the project achieve zero harm.
This will be achieved by developing, implementing and maintaining a safe system of work, meeting targets and objectives, while demonstrating the company values, and delivering measurable safety, environmental, and compliance outcomes.
The position ensures alignment with client expectations and stringent regulatory standards, including those set by WorkSafe WA and the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS), whilst fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation.
The HSEQT Regional Superintendent will work across multiple remote mine sites and operates on a Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) or Drive-In-Drive-Out (DIDO) roster, typically 7:7 based on project demands.
The role requires resilience, adaptability, and effective communication in high-pressure environments, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including site crews, contractors, clients, and traditional landowners.
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate:
- A track record in HSEQT site-based leadership
- A strong understanding of the site-based mining projects managing complex operational hazards
- Strong knowledge leading HSEQT programmes including incident investigations, audits and compliance with DMIRS and WorkSafe WA regulations.
- Proficiency in safety management software and data analytics for predictive risk management and performance tracking
- Environmental Management or Sustainability Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Certificate IV or Degree in a Health and Safety related discipline
- Investigation Qualifications
- Current and valid Australian driver’s license
- Mental Health / First Aid Certification
- Lead or Internal auditing Qualifications
- Systems and implementation experience of ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001
