Location: Regional North WA
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $120,000 – $136,000 P.A. + 11% super + benefits (including accommodation support).
About the Company
Our client is a well-respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate primary healthcare services across regional Western Australia. With a strong focus on community wellbeing and holistic care, the organisation is committed to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal children and families.
They are seeking an experienced Child Health Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team and play a key role in delivering comprehensive, family-centred care.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Child Health Nurse to step into a meaningful and rewarding role supporting children and families in a regional community.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering comprehensive child health checks and developmental screening.
* Coordinating and delivering the Childhood Immunisations.
* Managing and coordinating care for children with chronic or complex health needs
* Conducting Children in Care (CIC) health assessments and liaising with relevant agencies
* Supporting ear health screening programs and related education initiatives
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
* Providing education and support to families on child health and development
You’ll work closely with the Clinical Lead and a multidisciplinary healthcare team, playing a vital role in improving child health outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Minimum 3 years post-graduate nursing experience
* Experience in child health, primary healthcare, or community health settings
* Ability to engage effectively with Aboriginal children and families
* Excellent communication, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in new environments.
* National police clearance and relevant immunisation records.
* Current driver’s licence and ability to operate a 4WD vehicle
