Renewable Metals is redefining how the world recovers critical minerals.

We’ve developed a world-first alkali recycling process capable of recovering over 95% of metals from battery waste-cleaner, more efficient, and built for scale. Backed by leading climate-tech investors and government funding, we are now commissioning our large-scale demonstration plant in Perth, with full-scale operations targeted for 2026.

The Opportunity

This is a flagship operational leadership role.

You will lead the demonstration plant, not just to run it, but to prove, refine, and scale a new processing technology.

Unlike steady-state operations, this environment is dynamic: process trials, engineering iteration, and continuous learning. The output isn’t just production – it’s data, insight, and confidence for commercial scale-up.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team across operations, engineering and technical functions, setting the standard for how this plant – and future plants – operate.

What You’ll Own

• Safe, reliable and efficient plant operations
• Execution of production runs, trials, and demonstration campaigns
• Leadership of a multidisciplinary plant team
• Process optimisation, continuous improvement, and operational learning
• Input into future plant design and scale-up decisions

About You

You are an operator who can lead in uncertainty.

• Chemical/process engineering background
• Proven leadership in processing or chemical plant environments
• Strong safety and operational discipline
• Comfortable operating in a non-steady-state, evolving plant
• Experience in pilot/demo or scale-up environments highly regarded
