About the Company

A well-established Tier 2 commercial builder delivering high-quality projects across South East Queensland, typically ranging from $10M-$80M. Strong pipeline across education, health, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

The Role

As a Construction Project Manager, you will take full ownership of projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery across multiple commercial builds
  • Develop and control project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
  • Prepare and maintain detailed construction programs and schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including WorkSafe Queensland requirements
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders
  • Oversee procurement and contract administration
  • Drive quality assurance and defect management processes
  • Foster a strong safety culture across all project phases

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within a Tier 2 or Tier 1 commercial construction environment
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects in sectors such as education, healthcare, or industrial
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets of $10M+
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian construction standards and contracts (e.g. AS contracts)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Procore, Aconex, or similar)

Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Additional certifications in project management (e.g. PMP) highly regarded
