Site Foreman
Site Foreman (Building) – General Contractor
Location: Toowoomba (all projects local)
Role Overview
The Site Foreman is responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities across residential and commercial building projects within Toowoomba. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards while coordinating subcontractors, trades, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations across multiple Toowoomba-based projects
- Supervise and coordinate trades, subcontractors, and labourers
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Plan and sequence works to meet program timelines
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company safety procedures
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety inspections
- Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Liaise with project managers, clients, suppliers, and local authorities
- Manage site logistics including materials, deliveries, and equipment
- Track progress and report on milestones, delays, and risks
- Resolve on-site issues efficiently to avoid project disruption
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
Requirements & Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Foreman or Leading Hand in construction
- Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial building practices
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
- Solid understanding of Australian building codes and standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Current White Card (Construction Induction)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Trade qualification (Carpentry or similar) preferred
