AOD Clinical Lead – Alcohol & Other Drug Services

About the Company
Our client is a well-respected NFP organisation delivering culturally responsive health and wellbeing services across regional Western Australia. With a strong focus on holistic care, rehabilitation, and community outcomes, they are committed to providing high-quality Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services that support recovery, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
They are currently seeking an experienced AOD Clinical Lead to oversee clinical operations across community AOD programs and residential rehabilitation services.
The Role
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced clinician to lead and support multidisciplinary AOD teams within a therapeutic community environment. The successful candidate will provide clinical oversight, supervision, and strategic direction while ensuring services align with best practice frameworks and accreditation standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and supporting AOD Counsellors, Senior AOD Practitioners, AOD Practitioners, and Support Workers
* Overseeing clinical assessments, treatment planning, case management, and rehabilitation programs
* Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures aligned with ATCA Essential Elements and AOD Human Services Standards
* Supporting accreditation processes and continuous quality improvement initiatives
* Providing clinical supervision, mentoring, and professional development to staff
* Ensuring accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance across community and residential services
* Promoting a culturally safe and therapeutic environment focused on recovery and community participation
* Collaborating closely with senior leadership to support organisational goals and service delivery outcomes
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* Demonstrated experience in a clinical leadership role within AOD, mental health, rehabilitation, or therapeutic community settings
* A Bachelor qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline
* Postgraduate qualifications in AOD or related fields (highly regarded)
* Current registration with a relevant professional body, including AHPRA where applicable
* Strong knowledge of evidence-based AOD treatment and rehabilitation frameworks
* Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage clinical operations
* Excellent communication, leadership, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and Driver’s Licence
