About the Company

Our client is a highly respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service delivering comprehensive, culturally safe healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Known for their holistic approach to health and wellbeing, they provide integrated primary healthcare services through a multidisciplinary team committed to improving health outcomes and supporting Closing the Gap initiatives.

They are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their dedicated clinical team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to work within a collaborative and culturally focused healthcare environment. You will provide advanced clinical care across a broad range of primary healthcare presentations while working alongside GPs, specialists, nurses, allied health professionals and social health teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive, culturally safe clinical care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients
  * Assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health conditions
  * Prescribing medications and ordering/interpreting diagnostic investigations within your scope of practice
  * Delivering preventative health programs, health education and chronic disease management initiatives
  * Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care
  * Supporting positive health outcomes through evidence-based and person-centred practice
  * Maintaining high standards of professional conduct, clinical governance and documentation

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner
  * Experience working within primary healthcare, general practice or community health settings
  * Demonstrated ability to independently assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of presentations
  * Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and commitment to culturally safe healthcare delivery
  * Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
  * Full Australian working rights
