People and Culture Advisor
We are excited to be partnering with a well-respected not-for-profit aged care organisation to recruit two People & Culture Advisors to join their collaborative and supportive People & Culture team. These are fantastic opportunities for HR professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in a values-driven organisation dedicated to supporting older Australians.
In these generalist roles, you will partner closely with leaders across the organisation, providing trusted advice on a broad range of people matters, including employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and employee engagement. - Role 1 – Senior People and Culture Advisor $115k plus super
- Role 2 – People and Culture Advisor $105 – 110k plus super
- Salary packaging Available – $18,500
- Permanent Monday to Friday flexible working hours
- WFH 1 day per week
The Role:
* Provides day-to-day People & Culture advice to managers and employees on employee relations, performance, conduct, policy interpretation, award and enterprise agreement matters.
* Manages employee relations cases of moderate complexity in line with organisational policy, escalating complex or high-risk matters to the Workplace Relations Manager.
* Supports managers through performance management processes, including planning, documentation and review.
* Builds effective working relationships with managers and employees across the organisation to support consistent and sound workforce practice.
* Prepares and reviews documentation related to employee relations matters to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
* Partners with hiring managers on recruitment and selection processes, providing advice on assessment, decision-making, probation and onboarding.
* Supports the People & Culture Officer on transactional recruitment, onboarding and variations as required, particularly during periods of high volume or complexity.
* Contributes to the design and improvement of recruitment, selection and onboarding practices across the organisation.
* Contributes to People & Culture projects and initiatives in collaboration with the Workplace Relations Manager and broader People & Culture team.
* Supports the development and review of People & Culture policies, procedures and guidance to align with legislative updates and organisational requirements.
* Supports organisational change, restructure and consultation processes, working under the guidance of the Workplace Relations Manager on complex matters.
* Uses workforce data and reporting to support advice, decision-making and continuous improvement of People & Culture services.
* Contributes to workforce systems improvement and the consistent use of templates, processes and reporting practices across the function.
* Supports compliance, audit and documentation requirements relevant to the role.
* Identifies emerging workforce risks, engagement issues and retention concerns, using data and operational insights, and escalates as appropriate.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Employee relations matters of moderate complexity are managed appropriately and in line with organisational policy, with higher-risk matters escalated to the Workplace Relations Manager within required timeframes.
- Advice provided to managers and employees on employee relations, performance, recruitment and policy matters is timely, practical and supports consistent organisational decision-making.
- Recruitment, selection and onboarding processes are supported effectively, with hiring managers appropriately advised through assessment and probation decisions.
- People & Culture projects, change initiatives and policy work are progressed within agreed timeframes, contributing to organisational priorities.
- Workforce data, documentation and systems are used accurately and consistently to support advice, compliance and service delivery across the function.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Organisational Psychology or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting recruitment, selection and onboarding processes, including providing advice to hiring managers.
- Experience supporting or delivering People & Culture projects, initiatives and organisational change activities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Experience working in Aged Care, health care, community services – Highly Desirable
- Knowledge of Aged Care Award and relevant EBA agreements
- Must hold full working rights
- Must be willing to obtain National Police Clearance
