The Role
This is a diverse and rewarding position that offers a varied caseload supporting children, adolescents and adults presenting with a range of disabilities, developmental conditions, mental health concerns and complex support needs.
Working closely with participants, families, support networks and multidisciplinary professionals, you will play an important role in helping individuals achieve meaningful outcomes, improve quality of life and maximise their independence.
Whether you are a Provisional Psychologist looking for a supportive environment to complete your registration pathway or a Registered Psychologist seeking a fresh opportunity, you will receive clinical support, mentoring and flexibility to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver psychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs).
- Develop Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Support participants presenting with a variety of behavioural, emotional and psychosocial needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, schools, carers and other stakeholders.
- Provide behaviour support strategies that enhance participant quality of life while reducing restrictive practices.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, reports and documentation.
- Participate in regular supervision, team meetings and professional development activities.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative and client-focused team culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Provisional or General Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
- Experience working within the NDIS, disability, mental health, education or community services sectors.
- Experience in Positive Behaviour Support or a genuine interest in developing skills in this area.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- A compassionate, client-centred approach to service delivery.
- Ability to work independently while remaining connected to a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
