With a strong focus on community wellbeing, clinical excellence and collaborative care, they provide an opportunity for General Practitioners to practise broad, rewarding rural medicine while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.

The Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced General Practitioner seeking a varied and fulfilling rural role. You will provide comprehensive primary healthcare within a busy medical clinic while also supporting the local district hospital with inpatient care, emergency presentations and on-call services where applicable.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver comprehensive general practice services across patients of all ages.
• Provide inpatient, emergency and acute care support within the district hospital.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, visiting specialists and allied health professionals to deliver integrated patient care.
• Participate in health promotion, chronic disease management and preventative healthcare initiatives within the local community.

You’ll become an integral member of the healthcare team, helping ensure quality medical services remain accessible to regional Australians.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia through Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
• Fellowship of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, or eligibility for fellowship.
• Experience working within Australian general practice, with rural or remote experience highly regarded.
• Confidence managing acute presentations, chronic disease and emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with patients and the wider healthcare team.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, culturally safe, patient-focused care.
