About the Company
Our client is a well-established and growing private psychology practice based in Subiaco, recognised for its practitioner-first approach, collaborative team culture, and commitment to delivering high-quality evidence-based care. They are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join their supportive team and provide assessment and therapeutic services across a range of presentations, including neurodevelopmental disorders, eating disorders, trauma, and body image concerns.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a passion for neurodevelopmental assessments to join a collaborative private practice where you’ll receive ongoing support, excellent clinical resources, and the flexibility to build a caseload around your areas of interest.
A key focus of this position is conducting comprehensive Autism and ADHD assessments for children and adolescents, with the ability to independently formulate and sign off on diagnoses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive Autism and ADHD assessments for children and adolescents.
- Provide evidence-based psychological therapy where appropriate.
- Develop collaborative, individualised treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with AHPRA standards.
- Liaise with GPs, psychiatrists, paediatricians, dietitians, schools, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in peer supervision, case discussions, and ongoing professional development.
- Work closely with an experienced leadership team and supportive administration staff to deliver exceptional client care.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Clinical Psychologist endorsement with AHPRA (essential).
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments.
- Strong experience assessing Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD across the lifespan, particularly with children and adolescents.
- A sound understanding of the different Autism presentations and neurodevelopmental profiles.
- Experience independently diagnosing and signing off on neurodevelopmental assessments.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
Highly regarded:
- Experience using assessment tools such as MIGDAS and DIVA.
- Interest or experience in treating eating disorders.
- Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician status, or willingness to complete the required training.
- Experience with trauma-informed practice and evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, CBT-E, EMDR, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy, or Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Availability
The successful candidate will be available to work part-time (minimum 2 days) or full-time, with availability across some of the following sessions:
- Monday (AM and/or PM)
- Tuesday (PM)
- Wednesday (AM and/or PM)
- Friday (AM and/or PM)
- Saturday (AM and/or PM) every third Saturday preferred
