An exciting opportunity is available for an Underground Mining Engineer to join a well-established Western Australian gold producer with multiple operating assets and a strong future. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative technical team where you’ll play a key role in supporting underground operations while continuing to develop your career.

Operating on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, this role offers DIDO or BIBO from Perth.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will provide technical support to underground mining operations, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective production.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining short and medium-term mine plans.
• Preparing weekly and monthly production schedules.
• Designing and coordinating drill and blast activities.
• Assisting with ventilation, mine services and underground infrastructure planning.
• Monitoring production performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Completing production reconciliation and technical reporting.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and life-of-mine planning activities.
• Working closely with geology, survey and operations teams to safely achieve production targets.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• A minimum of 2 years’ underground production mining experience.
• Experience in underground hard rock mining operations.
• Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik or similar.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or unrestricted work visa).
