Locum General Practitioner (FRACGP/FACRRM) – Aboriginal Medical Service
Location: Rural Western Australia
Job Type: Contract – Locum (Two-Week blocks – FIFO)

Our client is a highly respected Aboriginal Medical Service dedicated to delivering culturally safe, comprehensive primary healthcare to Aboriginal communities across rural Western Australia. With a strong commitment to improving health outcomes, they have built a supportive multidisciplinary team where General Practitioners are well supported by experienced nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers and an established administrative team.

The Role
We are seeking experienced FRACGP or FACRRM General Practitioners to undertake rewarding two-week locum placements between August and December 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for GPs who enjoy rural medicine, value team-based care and are passionate about improving health outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive primary healthcare across a broad range of presentations.
- Delivering preventative, chronic disease and acute care in a culturally appropriate environment.
- Working collaboratively with experienced nursing staff and Aboriginal Health Workers to achieve the best patient outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to high-quality patient care.
You’ll become part of a welcoming, well-organised clinic that prides itself on delivering exceptional healthcare while providing excellent support to its medical team.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Fellowship with FRACGP or FACRRM.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- Previous experience working within an Aboriginal Medical Service or a genuine interest in Aboriginal health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to delivering culturally safe, patient-centred care.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
