Senior Contracts Administrator – Civil Construction & Resources
Location: Perth, WA (FIFO 2:1 to the Pilbara)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 + Uplift + Super
About the Company
Our client is a leading Australian construction and engineering contractor delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects across the infrastructure, resources, renewable energy and defence sectors. The business has built a strong reputation for successfully delivering major civil, bulk earthworks, Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and building projects across Australia.
Due to continued project success and a strong pipeline of work, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join their high-performing commercial team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring contracts are administered effectively while driving project profitability and commercial outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Effective and profitable management of project contracts, costs, forecasting and commercial reporting.
- Preparation, negotiation and administration of subcontract and supplier agreements on complex projects.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of head contracts and subcontract obligations.
- Supporting procurement strategies, tender evaluations and subcontract negotiations.
- Assisting project teams with contract administration, budgets, progress claims, variations, EOTs and dispute resolution.
- Maintaining accurate commercial records while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Law or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the construction or resources industry, including at least 3 years working for a principal contractor.
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations and commercial administration.
- Strong understanding of project cost control, forecasting and contract management.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach with a commitment to safety, integrity and delivering high-quality outcomes.
