We are currently seeking experienced HSE professionals to join an established civil contractor delivering major earthworks, haul roads and infrastructure projects across both Perth Metro and Mining environments.

Opportunities available for:

• 1 x Senior HSE Advisor – Perth Metro

• 1 x HSE Advisor – Mining & Perth Metro

These positions will suit HSE professionals with a strong background in civil construction, earthworks and infrastructure, who are comfortable working closely with construction teams and subcontractors in high-risk environments.

Project Scope

The projects involve a broad range of civil and infrastructure works, including:

• Bulk earthworks

• Haul road construction

• Mining infrastructure

• Civil infrastructure

• Roadworks

• Drainage

• Pavements

• Concrete

• Excavation

• Heavy mobile plant and equipment

• High-risk construction activities

• General civil construction

Senior HSE Advisor – Perth Metro

The Senior HSE Advisor will provide senior-level HSE support across major civil infrastructure projects, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors and site crews.

Key responsibilities include:

• 12 hour days

• Providing HSE leadership and advice across projects

• Conducting site inspections, audits and compliance reviews

• Developing and reviewing SWMS, JHAs and risk assessments

• Supporting incident and near-miss investigations

• Managing contractor and subcontractor HSE compliance

• Monitoring critical risks and controls

• Facilitating toolbox meetings, pre-starts and safety initiatives

• Supporting project teams with legislative and client requirements

• Driving continuous improvement across HSE systems

• Promoting a strong and proactive safety culture

HSE Advisor – Mining + Metro

The HSE Advisor will provide hands-on HSE support across active mining and civil construction works Metro and FIFO working closely with supervisors and site personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

• 8:6 + 2:1 Roster

• Providing day-to-day HSE advice to site teams

• Conducting workplace inspections and observations

• Supporting SWMS, JHAs and risk assessments

• Monitoring site and client HSE compliance

• Supporting incident, hazard and near-miss investigations

• Conducting audits and inspections

• Facilitating toolbox talks and pre-starts

• Supporting contractor and subcontractor management

• Verifying critical controls

• Supporting high-risk construction activities

• Promoting continuous improvement and positive safety behaviours

About You

We are looking for HSE professionals with practical, site-based experience across civil construction, mining, earthworks or infrastructure.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as an HSE Advisor or Senior HSE Advisor

• Strong civil construction experience

• Experience across earthworks, haul roads or infrastructure

• Exposure to heavy mobile plant and high-risk construction activities

• Strong understanding of risk management and critical controls

• Experience with contractor/subcontractor management

• Experience conducting inspections, audits and investigations

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety

• Construction White Card

• Mining experience and relevant site inductions highly regarded

• Ability to Provide a National Police Clearance
