Senior Project Engineer – Regional Civil Infrastructure

About the Company

Our client is an established civil contractor with a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects throughout Queensland. Delivering works across transport, regional infrastructure, structures and general civil construction, they have built a reputation for successfully delivering challenging projects in regional and remote environments.

Due to continued growth and several secured projects, they are looking to appoint experienced Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers to their project delivery teams.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer looking to take ownership of contractor-side delivery across significant regional civil infrastructure projects.

Depending on your experience and project allocation, scopes may include:

• TMR and rural road construction
• Earthworks and pavement construction
• Pavement stabilisation and sealing
• Drainage and major culvert works
• Concrete and structural works
• Water infrastructure
• QA documentation, ITPs and project compliance
• Procurement and subcontractor coordination
• Cost tracking, forecasting and commercial management
• Programming and short-term planning
• Client, subcontractor and stakeholder coordination
• Supporting site teams to achieve safety, quality, program and commercial outcomes

Projects are predominantly regional and remote, with FIFO / 2:1 roster arrangements being most common.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Previous Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer experience with a civil contractor
• Strong contractor-side project delivery experience
• Experience across roadworks, pavements, earthworks, drainage, structures, concrete and/or water infrastructure
• TMR or regional road construction experience highly regarded
• Strong QA, procurement, subcontractor and cost management capabilities
• Commercial awareness with exposure to forecasting, variations and project reporting
• Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and drive project outcomes
• Previous FIFO, DIDO or remote project experience advantageous
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
