General Manager – Operations (Aged Care)
We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Operations to lead the operational delivery of residential and community aged care services within a well-established aged care organisation. Reporting to the CEO this is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced aged care professional who can drive high-quality service delivery, support operational performance, and foster a positive culture across both residential and community care.

The Role:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across residential and community aged care services.
- Lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support positive outcomes for residents and clients.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring services are safe, efficient, compliant and financially sustainable.
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive, accountable and collaborative workplace culture.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality and compliance across service operations.
- Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Build strong relationships with staff, residents, clients, families, stakeholders and external service providers.
- Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and implement organisational strategies and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant aged care legislation, regulations, standards and organisational policies.
- Support workforce planning, capability development, performance management and staff engagement.
- Oversee risk management, incident management and effective governance processes.
- Champion a culture focused on quality, innovation, accountability and person-centred care.
The Successful Applicant:
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse (RN) registration is essential.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience within residential aged care, ideally with exposure to community aged care.
- Strong understanding of the Australian aged care sector, legislation, regulations and quality standards.
- Proven experience leading teams and driving operational performance and service delivery.
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality, compliance and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and organisational change.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership, clinical teams, residents, clients and families.
- Strong people leadership skills, with a focus on culture, engagement and staff development.
- Highly organised, commercially minded and confident making strategic and operational decisions.
- Genuine commitment to person-centred care, resident wellbeing and positive client outcomes.
