About the Opportunity

Zenith Search is partnering with a range of highly respected healthcare providers across Northern Territory, Western Australia and Queensland to source experienced General Practitioners for a variety of locum opportunities.

These positions span rural hospitals, Aboriginal Medical Services, urgent care centres and primary healthcare clinics, offering rewarding work in some of Australia’s most unique and diverse communities.

With contracts commencing as early as 31 August 2026 and ongoing vacancies through to March 2027, there are multiple opportunities available to suit your preferred dates and work style.

The Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced GPs looking for flexibility, excellent remuneration and the chance to experience regional and remote Australia while being supported by established multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality primary healthcare services
• Managing acute presentations, chronic disease and preventative health
• Working collaboratively with nursing, allied health and Aboriginal Health Practitioner teams
• Providing culturally safe and patient-centred care

Opportunities are available in:

• Aboriginal Medical Services
• Rural General Practice
• Urgent Care Clinics
• Community Health Services
• Remote Health Clinics

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• FRACGP and/or FACRRM (or equivalent recognised qualifications)
• Experience working in rural, remote or Aboriginal health settings highly regarded
• Strong clinical decision-making skills and adaptability
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
