Behaviour Support Practitioner – Reservoir / Craigieburn

  • Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Reservoir or Craigieburn, VIC
  • $100,000-$120,000 + Super + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner looking for a genuinely supportive environment where you can develop clinically, enjoy greater flexibility and be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing allied health provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred services. We are ideally seeking a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner or above, however, will consider an experienced core level practitioner who is close to achieving Proficient status.

About the Company

Our client is a highly regarded multidisciplinary allied health organisation supporting children, young people and adults across Victoria.

Their team brings together professionals across Positive Behaviour Support, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and other allied health disciplines, creating a genuinely collaborative environment where practitioners can learn from one another.

The organisation has built a positive, supportive culture focused on clinical quality, professional development, employee wellbeing and sustainable caseloads. You’ll have access to experienced clinicians, regular supervision and plenty of opportunities to continue developing your career.

The Role

Based around Reservoir or Craigieburn, you will manage your own Behaviour Support caseload while working closely with participants, families, carers and their wider support networks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and identifying the functions of behaviours of concern.
  • Developing high-quality Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Working collaboratively with participants, families, support workers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Providing coaching, education and training to families, carers and support teams to successfully implement support strategies.
  • Monitoring participant progress, reviewing strategies and adjusting plans to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Supporting clients who have restrictive practices in place and considering fade-out plans where appropriate.
  • Complete autonomy over calendar and bookings.

What We Are Looking For

We would love to hear from practitioners who are:

  • Proficient-level Behaviour Support Practitioners, or experienced practitioners who are close to progressing to Proficient.
  • Experienced in delivering Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS.
  • Confident completing assessments, developing Behaviour Support Plans and managing their own caseload.
  • Passionate about delivering ethical, evidence-based and person-centred support.
  • Strong communicators who enjoy collaborating with families, carers and other health professionals.
  • Looking for an organisation where they can continue learning and developing without being driven by unrealistic KPIs.

What’s on Offer

  • $100,000-$120,000 + Super, depending on experience and level of endorsement, together with an excellent range of employee benefits.
  • You’ll also enjoy flexible working arrangements, manageable caseload expectations, regular clinical supervision, ongoing professional development and access to a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.
  • The organisation places a genuine emphasis on employee wellbeing and creating a workplace where clinicians feel supported rather than simply measured on billable hours.
  • Compressed working hours – option to work more hours across fewer days.
  • Regular clinical supervision and mentoring, with the ability to choose/change your mentor.
  • Professional Development allowance/budget & Paid Professional Development leave.
  • Internal training and staff meetings with opportunities to observe and learn from experienced/specialist clinicians across disciplines
  • Clear career progression and promotional pathways.
  • Dedicated administration, HR and finance support, reducing the admin burden on clinicians.
  • Fully resourced, state-of-the-art clinics and discipline-specific resource budgets.
