Our client is a well-established and highly regarded civil contractor with a strong presence across Queensland and a proven track record delivering major road and infrastructure projects.

With a significant pipeline of upcoming TMR works, including Bruce Highway upgrade packages, the business is continuing to strengthen its senior project delivery team across South East and Central Queensland.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to take a key delivery role across major TMR road infrastructure projects.

Depending on your experience, you will take ownership of either an individual project or broader packages of work, managing projects from mobilisation and planning through construction, commercial delivery and handover.

The role can be based from Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Rockhampton, depending on your location and project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

· Lead the delivery of TMR road and highway infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.

· Manage project programme, budget, forecasting, procurement, subcontractors, variations and commercial performance.

· Lead and mentor Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and wider project delivery teams.

· Manage relationships with TMR, consultants, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.

· Oversee the delivery of roadworks, pavements, bulk earthworks, drainage, culverts, structures and associated civil infrastructure.

· Ensure works are delivered in accordance with safety, quality, environmental and contractual requirements.

· Identify project risks and opportunities and drive strong commercial and operational outcomes.

· Provide accurate reporting across programme, cost, productivity and project performance.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

· Approximately 10+ years’ civil construction experience, with greater experience expected at Senior Project Manager level.

· Strong experience delivering TMR road/highway projects in Queensland.

· Demonstrated experience across roadworks, pavements, earthworks, drainage and associated civil infrastructure.

· Previous experience operating as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or experienced Project Engineer ready to step into PM-level responsibility.

· Strong commercial capability across forecasting, cost control, variations, subcontractor management and procurement.

· Proven ability to lead engineering and site delivery teams.

· Strong client and stakeholder management skills, ideally including direct TMR interface.

· Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
