Senior Geologist | Underground Hard Rock | WA

Are you an experienced geologist looking for your next leadership opportunity? We’re partnering with a respected Western Australian mining operation to find a Senior Geologist who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with leading and growing a team. Experienced Project Geologists considered.

About the opportunity

You’ll play a central role in the day-to-day geological performance of the operation, making sure what’s mined matches what’s planned. The role involves plenty of collaboration with engineering and production teams, and your technical judgement will directly influence how the mine develops over time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coaching a team of geologists and technical staff
  • Overseeing grade control and ensuring ore quality targets are met
  • Supporting mine design with sound geological input
  • Managing reconciliation and regular reporting
  • Building strong working relationships across technical and operational teams

What we’re looking for

  • Solid experience as a geologist in the mining industry, preferably underground
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience, or a strong readiness to step into it
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to influence across departments
  • Familiarity with geological modelling and mine planning software
  • A tertiary qualification in Geology and a current WA driver’s licence
