Zenith Search is working with Aboriginal Health and Primary Health Care services across WA, NSW, QLD and NT, offering FIFO opportunities for Fellowed GPs who want to combine meaningful healthcare with variety, flexibility and the opportunity to experience remote Australia.

With 2:2, 3:3 and 4:4 week rotations available, these roles allow you to maintain your home base while working in communities where your skills and experience can have a genuine impact.

Every location offers something different. You could be working in a remote Aboriginal Health clinic, a regional community, a small town or another remote Primary Health Care setting.

You can rotate back into a community you know and enjoy, or try somewhere completely new on your next rotation. With opportunities across multiple locations and states, the possibilities are endless.

The Role

You will provide comprehensive primary healthcare within an Aboriginal Health or remote Primary Health Care setting.

Depending on the location and community, you may be managing chronic disease, seeing acute presentations, undertaking preventative health care or working alongside Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive GP consultations and ongoing primary healthcare

• Managing acute presentations, chronic disease and preventative health

• Providing culturally appropriate, patient-centred care

• Working collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, allied health and other members of the multidisciplinary team

• Supporting health promotion, screening and chronic disease management

• Building strong relationships with patients, families and the local community

• Working within the clinical governance and care models of the health service

FIFO Rotations

Choose a rotation that works for your lifestyle:

• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

• 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off

• 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off

And the best part? You’re not locked into one location. You can return to a community where you’ve built relationships and continuity of care, or choose to experience a different community and location for your next rotation.

Family accommodation is available at selected locations, providing additional flexibility for GPs who may wish to bring their family for part or all of their rotation.

What We’re Looking For

You must be a Fellowed GP with:

• Fellowship of FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent

• Current AHPRA registration

• Appropriate eligibility to work in Australia

• Experience in general practice and primary healthcare

• An interest in rural, remote or Aboriginal Health

• Experience providing culturally appropriate and patient-centred care – highly desirable

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

• Confidence managing a broad range of presentations

• A flexible and adaptable approach to working in remote communities

Experience in Aboriginal Health, rural or remote healthcare will be highly regarded.
