Location: Kalgoorlie, WA Job Type: Full-time, 38 hours per week Salary: $128,480 (including zone allowance) + super, salary packaging and 12 weeks’ rent assistance

About the Company

Our client is an established community services organisation committed to enhancing the wellbeing of individuals, families and communities through compassionate, professional and respectful support. They are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee service delivery, support staff development and ensure programs achieve positive outcomes for the community.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced community services professional to step into a leadership position overseeing family and community programs in Kalgoorlie. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will support a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services while maintaining strong client outcomes, effective team processes and compliance with program requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate service delivery across family and relationship services, family and domestic violence counselling, men’s behaviour change and youth intervention programs.
  • Oversee client intake, registration, screening, assessments, case management and service evaluations.
  • Provide guidance, supervision and support to staff, including performance reviews, team meetings and professional development.
  • Oversee family and domestic violence risk assessments, safety planning and client risk management.
  • Monitor service quality through documentation audits, client observations and review of outcomes.
  • Contribute to reporting, quality assurance, funding requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies, referral partners and community organisations.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager and wider leadership team to ensure services meet contractual requirements and organisational standards.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling, Psychology or an equivalent discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong knowledge of community services, case management and client service coordination.
  • Experience with report writing, service documentation and quality assurance processes.
  • An understanding of family dynamics, family and domestic violence, and addictions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support staff and manage competing priorities.
  • A culturally appropriate, strength-based approach to working with individuals, families and communities.
  • A current C-class driver’s licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel when required.
