The company….
Our client is a prominent, well-respected construction company with a national presence and strong reputation that is going through a growth period. Nationally they already have a strong pipeline of work in every state of Australia and are on the rise and looking for great people to join the business. Typical projects include large scale earthworks, concrete and water within infrastructure and resources sectors.
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Bid Manager to manage and drive their proposals team. This will see you ensure the governance process is managed, decide what the business focuses on and tenders, through to complete management from bid/no bid stage through to tender submission and hopefully tender award! This opportunity will see you manage the internal team as well as engage and manage external consultants using your technical knowledge to ensure the highest standards of bids are submitted to their clients. This position will see you play a part within the senior leadership team.
Key requirements:
- Ideally Tertiary qualified within construction, engineering OR commercial but open to candidates with relevant industry experience
- Ideally experience operating as a Bid Manager for a Construction Contractor here in Australia OR a Project Manager with experience working within tenders who is seeking a route into a corporate position
- Technical understanding of the construction process within civil and infrastructure sector but open to candidates with a building or commercial background
- Well-developed networks throughout the WA industry and a thorough knowledge of pre-qualification and tender processes.
- Ability to work as part of a team and work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all requirements and timeframes are met to compile tenders and deliver competitive bids to clients.
- Proven experience working in a high performing & forward-thinking team environment.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy, commercial, and risk management skills
- The drive to succeed, think laterally, and consistently perform to high standards.
This opportunity will be challenging but highly rewarding. It requires someone highly motivated with excellent technical and commercial knowledge, someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. And above all it requires someone with previous experience in a similar role in Western Australia.
