They are seeking a Child & Family Therapists to support children, young people, and families impacted by trauma.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to provide specialised counselling and trauma-informed therapeutic support to children, young people, and families affected by sexual assault, abuse, or family violence.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering child-centred, family-focused counselling and therapeutic interventions
* Providing trauma-informed support to individuals presenting with complex needs
* Contributing to community education, prevention programs, and interagency initiatives
* Working collaboratively with an integrated community services team
* Offering professional expertise to support community development and abuse-prevention strategies
You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team and play an integral role in strengthening trauma-response services within the community.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* A Bachelor qualification in Social Work or Counselling
* Experience supporting children, young people, and families with complex trauma
* Ability to build strong rapport while maintaining confidentiality and dignity
* Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
* Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic models and current legislation
* Excellent communication, de-escalation, conflict resolution, and report-writing skills
* Strong planning, organisational, and time-management abilities
Essential requirements:
* Working With Children Check
* National Criminal History Check
* Unrestricted driver’s licence
