We currently have an amazing opportunity for a Child Health Nurse to join a great organisation in Regional WA. They provide exceptional healthcare services to children and their families. Their mission is to foster healthy development and well-being through compassionate care and support. They’re currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Child Health Nurse to join their dynamic team and make a positive impact on the lives of young patients.

The Position:

The role of the Child Health Nuse is to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal people through the effective planning and delivery of culturally sensitive care to women and their children 0-5 years of age. The organisation has built strong partnerships with other service providers and part of the role of the Child Health Nurse will be to progress and document these partnerships.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

• Providing client education and support, monitor developmental progress, administer immunizations, and integrate health services to enhance childhood development and readiness for school.
• Understanding and meeting key performance indicators for the Child Development program, collaborate with the Midwife to plan and implement effective programs, and engage in program management and cooperative relationships with health providers.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and data, and effectively use Communicate.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and ensure adherence to evidence-based best practices in client service delivery.
• Collaborate with Midwife and Pediatric Nurse, uphold high professional standards, contribute to organizational success, and participate in research and maintaining a safe work environment.

The Requirements:

• Experience in Child Health Nurse
• Post Grad Certificate in Child Health
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Current AHPRA Registration.
• Current CPR Certificate.
