Child Health Nurse
The Opportunity
Zenith Search is partnering with a leading Regional Health Organisation to recruit Child Health Nurses to work in regional clinics throughout the Northern Territory.
This is a varied role where you’ll combine specialist child and family health nursing with broader primary health care and outreach, to deliver culturally safe care for children and young people aged 0-17 years.
From developmental assessments and immunisations to complex care coordination and community health initiatives, you’ll have the opportunity to practise autonomously while making a genuine impact on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive child and family health services for children aged 0-17 years.
- Coordinate care for children with chronic and complex health needs.
- Provide primary health care in accordance with CARPA guidelines.
- Deliver developmental assessments, immunisations and health promotion activities.
- Work across health centres, school clinics and remote outreach services.
- Build strong, culturally safe relationships with children, families and communities.
About You
We’re seeking an experienced Child Health Nurse who enjoys working autonomously, thrives in a regional settings and is passionate about improving child health outcomes.
You’ll have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum five years’ nursing experience, including at least two years in child, paediatric or adolescent health.
- NT Immunisation Certificate and Advanced Life Support.
- Current driver’s licence, National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
